Uladzimir Sinkevich, cello

Uladzimir Sinkevich is currently the principal cellist in the Munich Radio Orchestra, a post he held since 2011. He is also the 1st prize and Isang Yun Special Prize winner at the 2012 International Isang Yun Competition in Korea, 3rd prize and at the international Drohomirecki Competition for Cello Solo in Katowice, and the 2nd prize at the at the 10th Gabrielli Competition in Berlin among other prizes. As a soloist, he has appeared with the State Symphony Orchestra of Belarus, the Munich Radio Orchestra, and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic to name a few.
He was born in 1986 in Minsk, Belarus. He studied with Vladimir Perlin at the National Music College of Music in Minsk, and with Prof. Tilmann Wick at the Academy of Music and Theater Hannover. From 2007 to 2013 he continued studying at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Prof. Martin Löhr and Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher. From 2009 to 2011 Uladzimir Sinkevich was a scholarship student at the Orchestra Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. His decisive impulses for the artistic development developed through active participation in master classes with Bernard Greenhouse, David Geringas, Frans Helmerson, Yo-Yo Ma, Natalia Gutman, Wen-Sinn Yang and Jerome Pernoo.
