Sin Kyu Steve Lee, viola

Sin Kyu Steve Lee is a leading violist and a concert presenter of his generation in Korea. He is the co-founder and artistic director of Classikan Ensemble, and a member of the hugely popular group ClubM, based in Seoul, Korea. He has appeared as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician throughout the United States of America on stages such as the Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, Paul Hall, and Barge Music.  


He has also been a guest artist, performing/teaching assistant, and fellowship member of music festivals such as Colorado College Music Festival, Atlantic Music Festival where he was featured in MPBN radio as a chamber musician, Sarasota Music Festival, and Bowdoin International Music Festival.

As a full-scholarship recipient, Mr. Lee achieved Bachelor of Music; and, Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School, under the guidance of Toby Appel. He had participated master classes and had chamber coaching from Cho Liang Lin, Lewis Kaplan, Claude Frank, Pamela Frank, Michael Tree, Atar Arad, Robert Vernon, James Dunham, and Barbara Westphal. Also, he had performed with many important musicians including Alex Kerr, Eric Kim, Kurt Muroki, Michael Klotz, Lewis Kaplan, Renee Jolles, and Nathaniel Rosen. 

He is a faculty member of KangWon National University and music department of Bucheon Catholic University. In 2015, with Warner Music, his first recording 'British Accent' had released.
